hi ya phil, more definition is needed, some of those stipes i wouldve made solid and put in some shading, you need to start looking at some reference pics, maybe when you know you're going to be doing a certain tattoo have a good look, say like this one have a look at what a tiger looks like, how the colour blends how the stripes go. Have a look at this one below i did, i know you're learning, this was the first tiger i tattooed, may give you some pointers for next time as they seem quite popular

I agree, darker, wider stripes, and add some greywash to add some depth to the image. But this is much better than the last piece of yours that I have seen.

as usual i cant comment on anything techincal outlawtattoo/icon_lol1.gif but i agree wider stripes and maybe some darker orange/red here and there to give it more contrast. but u did say it was unfinished. and its alot better than i could do outlawtattoo/icon_lol1.gif so keep it up buddy outlawtattoo/icon_beer.gif outlawtattoo/icon_2thumbs.gif

so far it's looking decent. along with the stripe change and a bit more shading, I would do some power lining (outter outline more bold). But that's just me.

Looking at the piece now your right as always the stripes do need to be more bolder and it lacks a lot of detail but I should be-able to fix this when he comes back to get it finished. Your tiger is great and very helpful for getting a good idea on how the stripes should look.
Thanks for been so helpful to me..

i think maybe a heavier outline, more shading with blacks and maybe some brown and darker . thicker stripes
